Ticket Information and Conditions of Purchase
Ticket
You will be asked to show your ticket when boarding the bus, together with any relevant ID or season ticket. We also ask that you have it easily accessible throughout the entire journey. If you register an account on nor-way.no or in the app, your purchased ticket will be displayed on 'My Page' or the ticket page in the app. If you are not registered, you may make a search for your ticket.
A confirmation of the ticket will also be sent to the email you used in the purchase. If you do not receive the ticket you have ordered via email, please contact customer service.
Your ticket can only be used from and to the departure and arrival stops specified in the ticket, and only on the date and time for which it is issued. This also applies to a return journey.
If you wish to travel from or to another stop than your booking states, you must modify your ticket.
As a customer, it is your responsibility to ensure that your ticket does not end up in the wrong hands. If others use the ticket, it will be recorded as used and become invalid for you.
Check the information
As a customer, you are responsible to check the following:
- That the correct route has been selected, including both the departure and arrival stops.
- That the correct departure time and date have been selected.
- That the correct ticket type and number of passengers have been selected. If you have purchased a discounted ticket (student, senior, or conscript), you must be able to present valid identification.
- That the correct email address has been entered at the time of purchase.
- That you have your ticket available when boarding and throughout the journey.
- That you can present a valid season ticket if a travel card has been added to the booking.
The ticket may only be used from the departure stop to the arrival stop specified in the ticket, and on the date and departure time for which it is issued. This also applies to a return journey.
Price and Booking
Ticket prices can vary according to the time of travel, day of the week, and any ongoing promotions. We recommend that you purchase your ticket well in advance of your journey to ensure you get the best price. When buying the ticket on the bus, the price is usually higher than online prices. Please note that we are not able to guarantee you a seat on the bus if you have not made a booking in advance.
If downtime or other technical issues on the website or in the app prevent the purchase of tickets, tickets must be bought on the bus at the regular price. The price displayed through a search on nor-way.no or in the app is only available for bookings made in advance of the journey.
Please note that ticket booking may still be possible in the NOR-WAY-app if there are technical issues on nor-way.no.
If downtime or other technical issues makes it impossible to purchase ticket on nor-way.no, the ticket may be purchased from the bus driver.
The price difference between the bus price and online price is non-refundable, even if pre-purchase was not possible due to technical issues on the website or in app.
Modifying the Ticket and Cancellation
The ticket type you choose determines your available options for changes and cancellations.
Standard tickets can be changed up to one hour before departure for 39 NOK. Standard tickets cannot be cancelled.
Flexible tickets can be changed and cancelled without a change fee up to 15 minutes before departure. Cancellation provides a full refund of the ticket and products.
Open ticket can be changed to another date for a fee of 39 NOK. It cannot be cancelled.
Changes and cancellation (Flexible tickets) can be made for the entire trip, only the outbound journey, or only the return. The return journey can also be changed after the outbound journey has passed.
If the new journey costs more than the original journey, the extra amount is charged both for Standard tickets and Flexible tickets.
Transfer
When your journey consists of more than one leg or involves changing buses, it is important to be aware of NOR-WAY Bussekspress' transfer rules. When a journey involves changing buses or transferring from a bus to a train, boat, or plane, transfer time should be taken into account. When transferring from NOR-WAY Bussekspress buses to other buses, trains, or flights, the valid transfer time is:
- 60 minutes for change from a NOR-WAY bus to trains, boats, airplanes* or buses operated by other companies.
- 30 minutes for change from a NOR-WAY bus to another NOR-WAY bus.
For journeys where a shorter transfer time is chosen, there is no entitlement to a refund of costs for alternative transport or other incurred expenses due to missed connections.
* Upon bus arrival at the airport, check-in time with the airline should be calculated in addition.
How do I stop the Flybussen? Passengers are responsible for being at the bus stop well before the bus arrives, standing clearly visible at the stop, and giving a clear hand signal to the driver when the bus approaches so that the bus will stop. The bus only stops on signal.
Our departures are published periodically. If you cannot find a departure further into the future, it means the schedules have not yet been published. Departures to and from Kirkenes are planned and published continuously based on information from Avinor regarding scheduled flights between Oslo and Kirkenes. Departures are published no later than 3 weeks before the travel date, usually earlier. If you are travelling on a flight to or from Oslo (SAS/Norwegian), it is very likely that a Flybuss service to or from Kirkenes will be scheduled to correspond with your flight. Tickets can be booked once the departures are published on www.flybussen.no.
NB! Deviations from the scheduled timetable may occur. In the event of delays on flights from Oslo Airport, the Airport Bus in Kirkenes will wait for these arrivals. Deviations from the timetable may also occur due to delays in baggage delivery.
