Terms of Purchase and Use

The most affordable ticket can be purchased in advance of your trip at flybussen.no.
You can always buy tickets on the bus, but at a higher price than when purchased in advance. Tickets with a QR code must be ready for inspection when boarding (the reference number/QR code alone is not a valid ticket). If you cannot present a valid ticket, you must purchase one from the driver.

You must bring your ticket for the entire journey. It is your own responsibility to ensure that the ticket is not lost.

If you cannot present a valid ticket during a ticket inspection, a fee may apply. You must also be able to present valid identification/proof to document the correct ticket type.

As a customer, you are responsible for ensuring that:

  • the correct travel route and date are selected

  • the correct ticket category is selected (remember proof if you are entitled to a discount)

  • the correct email address is entered during purchase

Tickets cannot be changed or refunded.

Ticket validity: When you buy a ticket at flybussen.no, you must choose your preferred route and departure time, but the ticket is valid for the entire day on the selected route, allowing you to travel at any time that suits you on the chosen travel date.

How do I stop the Flybussen? Passengers are responsible for being at the bus stop well before the bus arrives, standing clearly visible at the stop, and giving a clear hand signal to the driver when the bus approaches so that the bus will stop. The bus only stops on signal.

Technical issues on the website? If downtime or other technical problems make it impossible to purchase tickets at flybussen.no, tickets must be purchased onboard the bus. The ticket price on the bus is normally higher than online. We do not refund the price difference between onboard and online purchases in the event of downtime or technical issues. We recommend that you buy your ticket well in advance of departure.

Inquiries and complaints: To make a claim, you must send us a written inquiry no later than 3 months after the incident. We will respond as quickly as possible, usually within 4 weeks of receiving your inquiry.
Please note that if we do not receive your response to our follow-up within 3 months, the case will be considered expired, and any claims will no longer be valid.


Ticket Information:

Adult ticket:

Adult tickets apply to passengers aged 18 or older.
When purchasing a single adult ticket, children under 4 years travel for free. Children under 4 do not need their own ticket.

Round trip ticket

When purchasing an adult return ticket at flybussen.no, the discount is applied automatically. This discount only applies to adult tickets, as we do not offer return discounts in addition to other discounts such as child, senior, conscription, or student discounts.
When purchasing a return ticket onboard the bus, the return is open for 75 days (the return trip must be used within 75 days). It is important to keep the ticket, as it must be shown on the return journey.

Child tickets

All children under 4 travel free with us.
A child ticket applies to children aged 4 through 17.

Family ticket

A family ticket includes 1 adult and up to 4 of their own children aged 4 through 17. The family ticket does not apply to school classes/sports teams or larger groups travelling together.

Student discount

We do not have a discount for students.

Military discount

We do not have a discount for conscripts.

Senior discount

We do not have a discount for seniors.

Companion/Escort Discount

Only companions accompanying deaf and blind travelers may ride free of charge. Beyond that, no discount is given to a companion / traveler with a companion certificate.
